The Gizmo enclosure has “ears” on two sides with mounting slots and holes that accept up to #8 screw or bolt. Use only these slots and holes for attaching the Gizmo to your robot. Take care to avoid damaging the enclosure. Don’t use a screw that it too large and will damage the ear (by expanding it). Don’t tighten the fastener use too tight such that it damages the enclosure.
You should mount the Gizmo in an easily accessible location so that wiring connections can be made without needing to remove it from the robot. Mount it so the status LEDs are easily visible for debugging purposes.
Don’t mount the Gizmo under any metal sheet or housing as it may interfere with the wireless communications.
Always secure the Gizmo and the 7.2v robot battery such that they don’t slide or move unexpectedly. Mount the battery so that it can be quickly removed and replaced. The inline switch in the battery connector assembly should be accessible at all times in case a quick robot shutdown is required.
